Maro Lesioti is an actress, improviser, director, musician, and dedicated educator. She studied at the Hellenic Conservatory, Modern Times Drama School, and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.
In 2018, she founded the improv group RCAB and in the years 2022-2023, they participated in several international festivals. She is the creator and director of the formats EDMOND-JEAN-WILLIAM, HIERONYMUS BOSCH, CHORUS, THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS, ANIMISM, WORLDS APART and MEMORIES (co-created with Tim Hearn), and EAGERLY WAITING (co-created with Gabriel Caropreso).
Immediately after graduation, she starred in the plays: MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING (2023), EXTREMITIES (2023), THE LAST BIRD (2023-2024), WHITE ROSE (2024), THE ISLAND OF SLAVES (2025) and in the short films SYMPHYSIS (2025), 26 CIGARRETES (2025), THE REAL THAT WAS (2025).
She has directed the plays THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS (IRREVERENTE International Improv Theater Festival, Lisbon, July 2025), THE ISLAND OF SLAVES by Pierre de Marivaux (Athens, September-October 2025) and EAGERLY WAITING (December 2025 - Present).
As an educator, she has been facilitating improvisation and theater classes and workshops since 2020 in Greece, the U.S.A., the Netherlands, Portugal and Italy, fostering creativity in performers of all levels and abilities, focusing on each individual's needs. She a member of the organising team of I.TH.A.C.A. Improv Festival in Athens, Greece and the co-artistic director of 2025's and 2026's edition.
She is the producer of Improv Nights and one of the artistic directors of the Worlds Apart Residency. She is also a board member and instructor of ImproSynthesis School of Improv (Athens, Greece).
Her most recent work (co-created with Yoryos Styl) HUMANITARIUM is now being funded by the DIGITAL on STAGE: Cascade Funding Programme from the European Union.
